Well, I am being a hopeless blogger once again. So much has happened since my last post.
Well, I say so much has happened… Life is crazy at times! Here’s a brief list of things I can remember doing since my last update;
Lots of games at Aston Villa including the most amazing game on Boxing Day where we scaped a very deserved draw with the Arse at Villa Park – 2 a piece. We should have romped home, but a draw felt like a win by the end. Best atmosphere I’ve experience at Villa Park since we knocked the Blues for 3 at VP a few years ago.
I’m on a gigging mission this year. I have secured tickets for the Blur gig at Hyde Park. I have also secured tickets for Jean Michel Jarre’s first “stadium / large arena tour” in years at the NIA in Brum.
Retrosexual performed a stonking show on New Year’s Eve at The Duke in Chuckery. Much fun was had by all (I say fun, it wasn’t much fun when we’d loaded in and set up and then realised that the desk wasn’t working – ho hum -).
Wedding plans are in full swing now. Invitations are on their way out. Final plans are being put in place and it’s looking like we might just manage to pull it all off. The Stag do is being planned and it’s looking like fun.
I’ve been to LA and back. Nice weather but didn’t get to see much of it. Spent the majority of the trip inside the Anaheim Convention Center, which is just like being inside a very air conditioned N.E.C. Great experience though. Have wanted to go for years and I finally made it out this year. Good to see the bigger industry together and feel part of “something”. Very business-y trip, but I wasn’t expecting much else to be honest.
Well, I’m writing this from a carpark in Stockton on Tee’s. I haven’t been to Stockton in years, not since I used to come up with good friend Mike to visit his family. I have fond memories of the place. Much alcohol and frivolity. However, a much more work-type orientated visit today. On the work subject, it’s tough out there at the moment. Lot’s of change in every corner you look. The wisest move is just to keep my head down and crack on I think. I do what I do and all I can try and achieve over the next year or so whilst the economic climate is so tough is to be the best I can be and hope that this attitude will see me though ok.
