Happy 18th Birthday Al Clarke! A fantastic night of fun in celebration of Al Clarke’s 18th Birthday was had in The Vaults, Walsall last night. A great crowd, a great performance by The Deciphers, a truely gobsmacking performance by a new band, Manimal, fronted by the ever enigmatic Dicko and backed up by various Clarke’s and the odd bit of dancing and drinking ensued a fun night for all concerned. I enjoyed myself. A lot.
As I have the hindsight of writing this the following day, I can proudly say that a great start to the weekend was followed up by a great middle of the weekend by Villa beating Reading 2-1 and going joint 4th in the Prem on goal difference. Sweet. I can almost taste Europe. Which is a little strange – but it’s the best expression I can think of at 10.00pm on a Sunday evening.
