Well, I’m sitting alone, downstairs, watching the pilot episode of The New Adventures Of Superman on Living TV. You may have gathered by now, I have a spare few minutes, so I thought I’d open up my blog again and see where my mind goes. Firstly, I seem to recall watching this TV show on Saturday mornings on BBC1 when I was younger. I’m SURE it was called The New Adventures Of Superman, but now on Living it seems to be called Lois & Clarke – The New Adventures Of Superman. Why is this? Why have they rebranded it for a repeat? So, I’ve spent most of my morning on IMDB and various websites trying to find out. As yet, I have had no luck, but I shall continue trying dear readers. I shall of course update you with any information I find.
Sally has flu. I feel useless. I have no idea how to help her or to make her feel better. This makes me sad. She’s in bed and very poorly. Hence why I’m down in the lounge, not doing much. I’m looking forward to playing in Church later though. Firstly, as I enjoy playing in a band with Oli, Matt and Neil. Secondly, I just love playing and I don’t get anywhere near as many chances to do so as I would like nowadays.
Finally, I went to see Aston Villa play yesterday. We won. 3-1 against a fairly poor Reading side. Still, we’re equal 4th on goal difference (well, we’re actually 6th but I’m enjoying the thought that we may get Champions League football next season!!) and heading very much in the right direction. I would like a season ticket next season. I don’t think I’m going to get one, but it would be nice.
Well, I think that is enough for today.

I’m sure Dave must know about the name change?
Sorry to hear Sal is ill. Steph was ill immediately after the new year so I understand your feelings of uselessness…I am a fixer and I hate it when there’s a situation I can’t sort out. I’d rather sort a not-so-nice situation out than leave it unresolved, so it’s very frustrating when someone is suffering from an illness and there’s nothing you can do!
The Villa are, as you so rightly point out finally heading in the right direction and I think if we buy wisely in January and avoid any major injuries we’ve got a good shot at the UEFA cup, if not the Champions League! Come on!
I remember watching it too and am sure it never had the Lois and Clark part too. It was on before such greats as Going Live and Live and Kicking!
personally i was under the impression that the “Lois and Clark” part of the name was part of the shows original title in the US but they just used the subtitle here in the UK probably due to less of a cultural recognition on the names lois and clark! could be wrong , quite frankly find it hard to believe im even thinking about this.
